After the Pitch Black sequel The Chronicles of Riddick tanked at the box office, it looked like we might have seen the last of the franchise's surly antihero, Richard B. Riddick. But Vin Diesel liked playing the character so much that he waged a long social media campaign to get Universal back in the Riddick business, and the result -- the sensibly titled Riddick -- is due in theaters on September 4. If Diesel has anything to say about it, this is only the beginning.
